Learning for Practitioner Program Launched by CBSE for New Ideas

Opportunity for Teachers to undertake Action Research “Learning from Practitioner” Program

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the “Learning from Practitioner” Program for affiliated school teachers. In this program, teachers can share their ideas about solving challenges and problems occurring while teaching in schools. Also, to help them work on their project, teachers will be rewarded with a grant after selection.

The board will select 25 finalists and give them mentorship to scale their ideas. The CBSE Official added, “Preference will be given to those proposals which are directly aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.”

Who Can Participate

There are some rules for the participation in the learning for practitioner program, and these rules are as follows: 

  • All the teachers, faculties, and staff from affiliated schools can participate.
  • Each applicant can only apply for one grant a year. 
  • A maximum of 4 members in a group are allowed.
  • The finalist cannot apply for the same project next year.
  • Applicants can only apply for their projects. They cannot be nominated by someone else for the grant. 
  • The applications can be submitted in Hindi or English. 

Process of Submitting Application

Interested applicants/ teachers of all affiliated schools with CBSE can submit their proposals to this link. This form can only be filled by using CBSE Edu ID () and the last date to apply for the form is August 31st, 2022.

Post Selection Benefits

There are several benefits that selected candidates will get, and these benefits are as follows: 

  • After two rounds, the selected candidates will be given a fixed grant of ₹25,000 in three installments over 1 year into the applicant’s bank account online. The grant can be utilized for scaling the program.
  • FInal selected applicants will receive mentorship from experienced practitioners and educators. 
  • Finalists can become a part of a community of individuals who are committed to exchanging their ideas and learning. 
  • Finalists are expected to submit a detailed report on the project, in the below-written areas: 
  • Documentation of process
  • Evidence of impact
  • Guidelines for implementing

This program will be helpful for teachers/ faculties in many ways. They will get chance to put their views or ideas related to teaching problems in front of experts. The selected applicants will be grant the amount of ₹25,000 which will be useful in generating and documenting evidence and scaling the program. If teachers have any ideas to show then they should participate in this program.
