On 25th October 2025, Chinmaya Vidyalaya Banashankari hosted a Teachers Training Workshop on Life Skills (Basic), led by Ms. Susmita Nath, a CBSE Resource Person. From the start, teachers were excited because this wasn't going to be a boring lecture where they just sit and listen. The workshop focused on teaching basic life skills that every student needs but often doesn't learn from textbooks. These skills include things like how to communicate clearly, make good decisions, solve problems on your own, and work well with other people. What made this session special was that it was almost completely activity based.

Ms. Nath didn't just talk about life skills, she got teachers to actually do activities that taught these skills. Teachers participated in exercises, discussions, and real situations where they had to use these life skills themselves. This made the learning stick better because they experienced it firsthand instead of just hearing about it. After the workshop, teachers gave positive feedback to the principal, telling her how valuable the training was. The principal was so impressed by what she heard that she immediately expressed interest in organizing more workshops like this in the future. The success of this session showed that when training is interactive and practical, teachers are more engaged and take away real skills they can use to make their classrooms better.
