Sankalp Public School in Bhopal hosted a CPD Teachers Training Workshop on Critical and Creative Thinking. The session was led by Ms. Nupur Kapoor, a CBSE Resource Person known for her energetic training style and deep knowledge of competency based education. The workshop was organized by BDM Abhishek Sisodiya and attended by the entire teaching staff, showing the school's commitment to improving teaching quality.
The main focus of the workshop was teaching teachers how to develop higher order thinking skills in their students. Ms. Kapoor explained that education today can't just be about students memorizing chapters and formulas. Real learning happens when students can think critically, analyze information, solve problems creatively, and reflect on what they're learning. She showed teachers how to embed these skills into their daily lesson plans without making it complicated or time consuming. Ms. Kapoor didn't just talk theory, she gave real examples and classroom activities that teachers could start using right away.
The workshop was highly interactive. Teachers participated in group tasks where they worked on real world teaching scenarios and discussed innovative ways to engage students. They shared their own classroom challenges and learned from each other's experiences. Ms. Kapoor emphasized that teachers need to create learning environments where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and explore new ideas. This kind of environment builds curiosity, innovation, and independent thinking, which are exactly the skills students need for the 21st century. Teachers left the workshop feeling motivated and equipped with clear, actionable strategies to change how they teach. They expressed that the session really enhanced their instructional methods and gave them confidence to move away from traditional rote learning toward teaching that makes students actually think and create.
