When Will the CBSE Date Sheet 2027 Be Released?

CBSE has not announced a fixed release date for the 2027 timetable yet. The Board released the tentative timetable for the 2026 examinations on 24 September 2025. That schedule was issued early to help students, schools and teachers plan ahead.

For 2027, the timetable is still awaited as of 8 October 2026. CBSE has already started the LOC process for Class 10 and Class 12 students, and the examination schedule is expected to be announced subsequently.

Students should avoid relying on the previous year's release date to predict the exact 2027 announcement. The latest status will be updated in the Latest Update section above as soon as CBSE issues an official notice.

Tentative vs Final CBSE Date Sheet: What's the Difference?

CBSE may release examination information in more than one stage.

• A tentative date sheet gives students and schools an early examination schedule for planning purposes. Since it is tentative, dates may still be revised before the final timetable is issued.
• The final CBSE Date Sheet should be treated as the confirmed examination schedule. It provides the exact examination date, day, subject, subject code, timing and related instructions.

Students should therefore use a tentative timetable for early planning but follow the latest official CBSE timetable when making their final revision schedule.

Details Given in the CBSE Date Sheet

Once the official Date Sheet 2027 PDF is released, students should check:

• Examination date and day
• Exact subject name
• Subject code
• Examination start time
• Duration of the paper
• Subject-wise examination schedule
• Gap between major papers
• Reporting or examination-day instructions
• Any subject-specific instructions issued by CBSE

Students should also cross-check the timetable with their admit card once it is issued.

CBSE Exam Day Guidelines for Class 10 & 12

Students appearing for the CBSE Board Exams should carefully follow the instructions mentioned in their date sheet, admit card and school communication.

Some general guidelines include:

• Carry the CBSE admit card and required school identification.
• Reach the examination centre before the reporting time specified by CBSE.
• Carry only permitted stationery and other allowed items.
• Do not carry mobile phones, smartwatches or other prohibited items.
• Use the reading time provided before the examination to understand the paper and plan your answers.
• Check the subject and its code carefully before attempting the examination.
• Follow all instructions given by the invigilator and examination centre.

CBSE may issue updated instructions for the 2027 examinations. Students should follow the latest official circular instead of relying only on previous-year guidelines.

How to Plan Your Preparation Before the Date Sheet Is Out

Students do not need to wait for the exact timetable to begin board preparation.

The period before the date sheet is released can be used to complete the syllabus, identify weaker chapters and build exam-writing speed.

For Class 10

Start with the latest syllabus and complete chapter-wise revision before moving to full-length practice.

Use:

[Educart Class 10 Sample Papers 2027]

[Class 10 Question Bank]

Students can also begin attempting sample papers under timed conditions so that the final revision schedule becomes easier once the examination sequence is announced.

For Class 12

Class 12 students should prioritise syllabus completion, subject-wise revision and full-paper practice, especially for subjects with lengthy numerical or descriptive sections.

Use:

[Educart Class 12 Sample Papers 2027]

[Class 12 Question Bank]

Students preparing for entrance examinations alongside Boards can also plan their board preparation around:

The actual date sheet should eventually be used to decide which subjects require more attention based on the number of gap days available between examinations.
