Latest CBSE Board Exam 2027 Updates

Here are the latest updates on CBSE Board Exams 2027, based on official CBSE notices and circulars:

7 October 2026: 2027 Date Sheet is Yet to be Released

CBSE has not yet released the date sheet for the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 Board Exam 2027. The tentative date for the date sheet release for both classes is scheduled for late September or October 2026 on the official CBSE Academic website. Students should not consider dates circulating on social media, WhatsApp, or third-party websites until an official CBSE notice.

23 September 2026: CBSE issued instructions on Demographic Corrections

CBSE has also issued a notice regarding corrections to students' demographic details. This is important because personal details may not be changeable at a later stage. Students should carefully check their details for any errors and report them to their schools so that the necessary corrections can be made within the correction period.

21 September 2026: CBSE Released Sample Question Papers

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official Sample Question Papers and Marking Scheme for Classes 10 and 12 board exams for 2026-27. These papers help students know the expected question types, mark distribution, and assessment approach CBSE will follow for the 2027 board exams.

21 September 2026: LOC Process for Class 10 and 12 Began

LOC is the List of Candidates that contains examination-related information submitted by schools to CBSE. Based on the CBSE Press Release, 29 Sep 2026, CBSE issued the LOC circular for the Class X and XII Main Examinations 2026-27.

Regular LOC is not submitted independently by students. However, they should thoroughly review the details recorded by their school to check for errors, such as name, date of birth, subjects, or other candidate details.

CBSE Class 10 Board Exams 2027

In the 2025-26 session, CBSE introduced the two-board examination policy for Class 10, allowing students to appear for board exams twice in an academic session. The same framework applies to the 2026-27 session for the 2027 board exams.

The Two Board Exam System is broken down into the following steps:

The first Board Examination is mandatory for all Class 10 students. If a student is eligible according to the rules of CBSE, he or she will have an opportunity to enhance performance in up to three subjects of their choice. Eligible students in the Compartment category also get an opportunity in the second examination.

Both examinations are based on the full Class 10 syllabus 2026-27 for the academic year, and the scheme of studies and examinations is the same as last year.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2027

The current Class 12 examination structure will consist of one main Board Examination, as opposed to Class 10, where students had to write separately for each Board.

As the Class 12 Board Exam 2027 date sheet has not been released yet, students should work on completing the syllabus and practise official sample papers and marking schemes to understand the paper format.

All Class 12 students should be monitoring:

  • Board Exam date sheet
  • Admit card
  • Practical examinations and project/internal assessment requirements
  • Subject-wise Sample Question Papers
  • Marking schemes
  • The syllabus and curriculum updates
  • All instructions issued by CBSE for the exams
  • Post-result processes such as verifications or re-evaluations, if applicable

CBSE Board Exam 2027 Date Sheet

As of 7 October 2026, the official CBSE date sheet 2027 for the Class 10 and 12 Board Exam 2027 has not been released yet. Once it is announced, students should confirm the dates on the official CBSE Academic Website under the Examination Circulars section.

We will also update this page with the latest information and provide direct PDF download links for easy access. Students must not prepare anything based on the dates mentioned as “Expected Dates” until CBSE confirms.

CBSE Board Exam Admit Card 2027

CBSE Board Exam 2027 Admit Cards have not been released yet as of 7 October 2026. The admit card is an important document because it contains exam-related information that students need to check before appearing in the exam. In previous CBSE examination cycles, the Board has provided notices for schools to download admit cards through the CBSE examination system.

CBSE LOC 2026- 27: What Students Need to Know

List of Candidates (LOC) is an official document containing candidate information recorded by CBSE-affiliated schools for board examination purposes. CBSE has released the LOC circular on 21 September 2026 for Classes 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 Main Examinations. The LOC process started on 24 September 2026.

The exact fee and deadline details should be clearly displayed in a dated table as per the latest CBSE LOC circular.

CBSE Syllabus 2026- 27 for Class 10 and 12

A new curriculum known as CBSE Curriculum 2026-27 has been released and should be considered as a reference for CBSE Exam 2027. The syllabus is also important because students start preparing with the old syllabus, previous years’ notes or online “important chapters” lists. These may not be a true representation of the latest academic year.

CBSE Sample Papers 2026- 27 for Class 10 and 12

The CBSE has released the SQP & Marking Scheme for Class 10 and 12 for the 2026-27 session. These are among the most helpful study resources for students before the Board Exam, as they help students understand how the board exam is structured.

Students should solve the SQPs under timed conditions, review answers using the marking scheme, identify weak areas, and then revise those areas using NCERT.

CBSE Exam Pattern 2027 - What has Changed?

According to the notification issued by CBSE in September 2026, the CBSE exam pattern 2026-27 for Class 10 and 12 remains the same as 2025-26. Students should refer to the most current SQP for their subject, as it will indicate the most recent paper design and question formats for the subject.

CBSE Passing Marks for Class 10 and 12

CBSE notification for September 2026 states that the passing criteria for 2026-27 are the same as those applicable for the 2025-26 session. Always check official sources to verify details instead of relying on a generic “minimum marks” statement.
