NCERT Training for Educators on Learning Disabilities & Inclusion

The CBSE issued a circular on 15th June, 2026 for a five-day online training programme titled ‘Beyond Labels: Understanding 5Ds (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia, and Developmental Aphasia)’.

The programme is being organised by the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET), NCERT. 

This NCERT online training aims to enhance teachers’ understanding of diverse learning needs and promote inclusive classroom practices. It is aligned with the NEP 2020 objectives and supports educators in addressing the learning challenges and needs of the students.

What Will the Programme Cover?

The training by CIET focuses on five major learning and developmental challenges, commonly referred to as the 5Ds. 

• Dyslexia

• Developmental Aphasia

Through these expert-led sessions, participants will learn about 

• Early identification of learning disabilities

NEP 2020 Alignment and Programme Schedule 

The training programme is completely aligned with the objective of the NEP 2020 and the Right of Persons with Disabilities (RPED) Act, 2016. The programme aims to promote awareness about the diverse learning needs and inclusive classroom practice.
