Differences Between Algae and Plants

  • Algae: No roots, stems, or leaves. Mostly aquatic. Simple structure.
  • Plants: Have true roots, stems, leaves, and vascular tissues. Mostly terrestrial.
  • Both can photosynthesize, but algae are considered “lower organisms.”
