Question:
Both gymnosperms and angiosperms bear seeds, then why are they classified separately?
Answer:
They are separated because gymnosperms have naked seeds (not enclosed in ovary/fruits), while angiosperms have seeds enclosed within fruits (ovary). Angiosperms also have flowers and double fertilization, features absent in gymnosperms.
