Subject: Complaint regarding colour TV.

I wish to draw your kind attention towards the purchase of a coloured B.P.L. T.V. from your shop vide cash memo no. 518 dated 30th December, 20XX. It worked very well for a few months but now it has started giving me a lot of problems. Its display is unclear and there is a black spot which appears on the right-hand side corner. Also, the TV takes more than the usual time to switch off and on and does so with a constant ‘whiz’ sound.

Before purchasing you pleaded its durability, utility, and stability to be trustable but it seems it was only a bargain. You also provided me with a guarantee card in case of any issues. So, I request you to replace the television set at the earliest as it is under the stipulated guarantee period.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully,

  1. Last month you bought a 3G mobile phone with a year-long guarantee. Unfortunately, the set has developed a snag and is no longer working. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate it if your company would pick up the set, for free, and correct the defects if possible or replace the set as per the purchase terms. Enclosed herewith are the details of my cash memo, item code and warranty details.

Looking forward to an early redressal I will wait till two weeks before seeking help from a consumer protection agency. Please contact me at the above-mentioned address. Yours sincerely
