What is An Advertisement?

Advertisements, commonly known as ads, are short pieces of communication designed to target a specific audience and encourage them to take a desired action - buying a product, using a service, supporting a cause, applying for a job, or finding lost items.

Advertisement writing is the process of creating clear, concise, and persuasive content that markets a product, service, or message to convince readers to act on it. Students learn to write formal, factual ads within a strict 50-word limit - the same format used in real newspaper classifieds.

Advertisement writing sharpens a student's ability to convey maximum information in minimum words - a skill highly valued in journalism, marketing, business, and communication careers.
