On 30th October 2025, St Michael's Sr Secondary School in Gurugram hosted a three-hour CPD Training Workshop on AI in Classrooms. Over 70 teachers attended, including Principal Sr Liji Peter, showing strong support from school leadership. The session was led by Dr. Kshma Swarnkar, an ISTM Trainer, with event discussions managed by Mr. Nishant Lakra and organized by BDM Deepak. This free workshop was designed to help teachers understand and use artificial intelligence in their daily teaching.
Many teachers feel worried or confused about AI because it sounds very technical and hard to understand. Dr. Swarnkar made it simple. She explained that AI is just a tool, like a calculator or a computer, that can help teachers do their work better and faster. The workshop focused on three main areas where AI can really help. First, lesson planning. Teachers learned how AI can help them create lesson plans, generate teaching materials, and come up with creative ideas without spending hours on prep work. Second, assessment and grading. Dr. Swarnkar showed AI tools that can help grade assignments, track how each student is doing, and even give personalized feedback that fits what each student needs. Third, personalized learning. She explained how AI can help teachers give different support to different students, so the fast learners don't get bored and the struggling students get extra help.
What made this workshop really valuable was that it wasn't just talk. Educart experts gave live demonstrations of actual AI tools working in real time. Teachers could see how these tools work and imagine using them in their own classrooms. Many teachers were surprised at how easy some AI tools are to use. The workshop ended with teachers feeling inspired and less scared of technology. They realized that AI isn't here to replace teachers, it's here to help them teach better, save time, and give each student what they need to succeed. Principal Sr Liji Peter appreciated the session and the practical approach that made a complex topic easy to understand.
