CBSE Post-Result Service Portal Attack: What Really Happened?

The portal which became operational on 2nd June, 2026 started facing repeated cyber attacks according to CBSE. This involved a large volume of unwanted traffic from different IP addresses located both in India and abroad.

The CBSE Portal for Verification and Re-evaluation which was started to help Class 12 students with their result related grievances, started targeting them to access post-result services due to CBSE Cyber Attack 2026.

The alleged objectives of the attacks included:

  • Disrupting the working of the portal
  • Preventing genuine users from accessing the services
  • Attempting unauthorized taking out of the important information
  • Creating inconvenience for students using post-result services

The cyber attack again put the students in a difficult position from which they were hoping to come out from. The attack took place while the verification and re-evaluation was ongoing.

What did CBSE have to say about the Cyber Attack?

Even after malicious attempts on the Post-Result Service Portal, the board was able to mitigate the cyber attack through continuous monitoring and advanced cybersecurity measures.

CBSE has assured students and parents that:

  • No data breach has been detected
  • No unauthorised access to databases has occurred
  • Student information remains secure
  • The portal continues to function normally

Addressing concerns such as "is CBSE result data safe?”, the Board provided clarification on all matters, including student records and their privacy. Now they’re saying all systems remain protected despite attempted attacks.

Agencies That Helped Mitigating Cyber Attack & Ensured Monitoring

There were several institutions and government bodies that came to the rescue and helped CBSE in monitoring 24*7 and protecting the portal.

These include:

  • IIT Kanpur
  • IIT Madras
  • Digital India Corporation
  • Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C)
  • CERT-In
  • Other Central Government cybersecurity agencies

Conclusion

The cyber attacks on CBSE’s Post-Result Service Portal have raised concerns among Class 12 students and parents yet again. The board has lodged the complaint with IFSO Unit of Delhi Police while strengthening its cybersecurity measures with support from leading institutions and government agencies.
