Ranchi Student Avni Kejriwal: Scoring Perfect 500/500
Avni, a commerce student of DPS, SAIL Township, Dhurwa, Ranchi, scored good marks. But she was confident in her efforts and was not able to understand the deductions in her scores. Just like many students, she decided to apply for re-evaluation.
Turns out, she was correct and her decision paid off turning her original score into a perfect 500/500.
- Original marks: She already scored 100 marks in Accountancy, Economics and Applied Mathematics making her score 476/500 (95.2%).
- Reason for applying for re-evaluation: Cross checked her English and Business Studies answers and did not understand the deduction of 19 marks in English and 5 in English.
- Revised result and final score: The board added back the deducted marks in both the subjects making her final score perfect, 500/500.
What Are the Two Facilities on the CBSE Portal?
CBSE has opened two different facilities within the same portal which makes it convenient for the students to apply for one or both of them at once.
1. Verification in Issues in Scanned Answer Sheets
This facility is for the students who found technical or handling problems in the scanned copy received by them.
Some of the issues include:
- Missing pages
- Missing supplementary sheets
- Missing maps or graphs
- Blurred pages
- An incorrect answer book
- Evaluation done against a different set
Note: Multiple issues across multiple subjects can be raised in a single application
2. Re-evaluation of Answers
This is for those students who are not satisfied with the marks awarded to them and want the answer sheet to be re-evaluated. While applying, students must provide the specific details for each request, such as the question number and page number, as applicable.
Note: Re-evaluation can cover more than one question or one or more subjects in a single application.
CBSE Re-evaluation 2026: Last Date, Fees & Payment
