Last Saturday, 52 teachers at Vishwa Bharti Public School, Dwarka came together for a two-hour engaging session on a quiet but important side of teaching - ethics and integrity.
The session was led by Master Trainer Ms. Isha Johri, with the session anchored by Mr. Gaurav, and was organised by Educart free of cost.

A Different Beginning
The beginning of the workshop started with a short meditation session instead of opening with presentation slides. Those few minutes in the beginning helped everyone settle and clear their heads. The idea behind a thoughtful beginning was simple: much like a good teaching, clear thinking starts with being calm and present.
Ethics in Practice
Ms. Isha kept the conversation connected to the actual situations teachers run into every day, both in classrooms and staff rooms. The session was conducted in the form of conversation instead of like a chapter from the textbook.

Teachers were suggested to practice some of these ethics:
- Staying fair and kind while handling classroom problems
- Holding on to your values when academic or administrative pressure builds up
- Responding calmly and ethically during disagreements
- Earning trust by being consistent in how you act and decide
Teachers also opened about their own experiences and the tough moments they had faced. This turned the room into a space where everyone learned something from one another.
Building Integrity: Day by Day
One of the main objectives of the session was to emphasise how integrity is not an act but a habit that grows with repeated choices made every single day. And to explain it, Ms. Isha linked this with the working life; showing how steady, regular behaviour is what builds the character.

Key takeaways from the workshop:
- Integrity is built through deliberate, repeated choices over time.
- Ethical conduct must be maintained consistently, whether in the classroom or beyond.
- Small, everyday actions shape one's professional integrity and the trust others place in them.
Learning Together as a Team
An unforgettable moment of the workshop was a group activity where teachers, in teams, noted down ethical statements and classroom examples on chart papers. This exercise got everyone exchanging ideas and learning together, instead of simply listening to one speaker.

The activity encouraged participants to:
- Share personal thoughts and experiences
- Reflect on real school-related ethical dilemmas
- Learn through open discussion and teamwork
This interactive exercise transformed the workshop into a two-way collaborative experience.
A Warm Response from Teachers
The feedback after the session was very positive. Teachers described it as an informative, engaging session which brought a helpful approach for everyday classroom practice.

The workshop came to an end on a thought worth carrying forward: integrity isn't something you cover in a single lesson - it's something you practise and live out.
Teachers left with practical ways to make ethical choices. Also, with a renewed sense of why it matters for a healthy and responsible educational environment.
