After checking the result, students often feel confused about what to do next. Here’s a guide for students. Whether you scored good marks, want your marks rechecked, or need to appear for a compartment exam, follow the steps provided below to plan your next move. 

Collect the original marksheet from school

Following the announcement of the results, CBSE will send the original physical marksheets, passing certificates, and migration certificates to schools. This process usually takes 2 to 3 months. Once your school receives these documents, make sure you collect the following: 

  • Original marksheet - required for final college admission and job applications. 
  • Passing certificate - proof that you have cleared Class 12.
  • Migration certificate - required when joining a university outside your current board's region.
  • Character certificate - issued by your school, required by most colleges at the time of admission. 

Apply for Re-verification of Marks
