Question:
Why does a block of plastic released under water come up to the surface of water ?
Answer:
Density of plastic piece is less than the density of water. Also, when the block is thrown under water the buoyant force is greater than it's weight. Therefore, when a plastic block is released under water, it comes up to the surface of water.
