Answer:

India has a rich heritage of flora and fauna because India is full of diverse physical features i.e. mountains, plains, oceans, deserts, islands, plateau etc. Each different region has a different type of soil.

India also has a monsoon type climate, and due to that, there are great variations in temperature and humidity across the nation. So, each of these factors causes the diversity in flora and fauna. These factors include soil, land, temperature, sunlight, precipitation, etc. Therefore, India has got a rich heritage of flora and fauna.
