Question:

Why are people allowed to go to court against the government's decisions?

Answer:

In a democracy, all political institutions are formed for the welfare of the citizens of the country. But, sometimes there are chances that government actions or laws passed by them might hurt the public interest or might be against the spirit of the Constitution. In such a situation, people have the right to go to court to get justice. Such cases are called Public Interest Litigations (PILs).
