Question:
What is the physical state of water at the following temperatures ? (a) 25°C (b) 0°C (c) 100°C
Answer:
At 0°C temperature, water (liquid) changes into ice (solid), whereas at 100°C water (liquid) changes into gaseous phase. Therefore water remains in liquid state between 0°C and 100°C so—
(a) at 25°C temperature water is in liquid state.
(b) at 0°C temperature water is in liquid/solid state.
(c) at 100°C temperature water is in liquid/gaseous state.
