Dr. Sonika Chauhan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Elementary Education at Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi.
With over 16 years of experience in education, including more than 7 years at the school level, she specializes in teacher education, social science pedagogy, and the sociological and philosophical foundations of education. Dr. Chauhan holds a Ph.D. and M.Phil in Education from the University of Delhi, an M.Ed., an MA in Sociology, and a B.El.Ed. from Lady Shri Ram College. Her research focuses on diversity, social justice, and critical pedagogy, and she has published extensively in national and international journals. She has also contributed to curriculum development and faculty training projects with various governmental and non-governmental organizations.
As a resource person, she has delivered lectures and facilitated workshops on educational philosophy, curriculum design, and teacher professionalism. Dr. Chauhan is a life member of the Comparative Education Society of India and has been recognized with fellowships such as the Junior and Senior Research Fellowships in Education.
