CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026 Out - Check Result, Marks & Details

On 18th July, 2026 CBSE declared the result of Class 10 second board examination marking the successful completion of the first year of the Two board examination system. The second chance was given to the students to provide students with an additional opportunity to  improve their performance.

Beginning of the CBSE’s Two Board Examination System 

CBSE for the first time ever conducted two board examinations for Class 10 in a single academic year. The motive of the second board examination was to provide eligible students with a chance to work and improve their scores. 

The main board examinations were held from 17 February to 11 March 2026 and students were given enough time to improve and perform in the second board examination held from 15 May to 21 May 2026.  

For regular students, CBSE will be considering the better of two performances while preparing the final result.

CBSE Released Post-Result Process for Class 10: Main & Second Board 

Following the declaration of the result of CBSE Class 10 Main and Second Board Exam 2026, CBSE released an official notice mentioning the post-result facilities available for students. The notice covers how students can obtain their evaluated answer books, apply for verification of marks and request re-evaluation. 

Student Who Appeared Only in the Main Board Examination 

For students who appeared only in the main board exam, the post-result are provided for them in two stages. 

Stage 1: Apply for the Scanned Answer Book 

Students can apply online to obtain a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book for any subject taken in the Main Board Examination. 

Stage 2: Apply for Verification or Re-evaluation 

After receiving the scanned answer book, students can choose either or both of the following: 

• Verification of Marks: To check whether all answers have been evaluated correctly and marks have been totalled and recorded accurately.
• Re-evaluation of Answers: To request re-evaluation of one or more complete questions in the answer book.

Student Who Appeared Both in Main and Second Board Examinations 

For students who appeared for both the examinations, CBSE has clarified the process for them as well. 

• If a subject was taken only in the main board examination: The same two-stage process mentioned above will apply.
• If a subject was taken in both main and second board examination: Students have additional flexibility during the first stage.

Stage 1: Obtain Scanned Answer Book(s) 

Students may apply online to obtain the scanned copy of:

• The Main Board Examination answer book,
• The Second Board Examination answer book,
• or both answer books

Stage 2: Choose One Answer Book for Further Review 

After reviewing the scanned copies received, students have to select only one out of the two answer books, either the main or second board exam book. For:

• Verification of marks, and/or
• Re-evaluation of one or more complete questions

CBSE has clearly stated that although students may obtain scanned copies of both answer books, verification and re-evaluation can be requested for only one of them. Once an answer book is selected, the other answer book cannot be considered for these post-result facilities.

Important Guidelines for Verification/Re-evaluation Process 

Students should keep the following points in mind while applying for post-result services:

• The complete application process is online
• Re-evaluation is allowed only for full questions, not individual sub-parts
• Verification and re-evaluation are available only for the theory part of the examination
• Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after verification or re-evaluation
• If marks change, a revised Mark Statement-cum-Certificate will be issued after the previous one is surrendered
• The fee will be refunded if marks increase after verification or re-evaluation
• CBSE allows only one application per stage. Ensure all required subjects are included before submission
• The decision taken by CBSE after verification or re-evaluation will be final

CBSE Class 10 Post-result Process: Step-by-Step Guide 

Students who wish to apply for verification of marks or re-evaluation must follow the process prescribed by CBSE.

Step 1: Apply for the Scanned Answer Book

The first step is to apply online for a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book. This allows students to see how their answers were evaluated and how marks were awarded.

Step 2: Download and Review the Answer Book

Once available, the scanned answer book can be accessed through the candidate's login account. The identity of the examiner and other examination officials will remain confidential.

Students should carefully review:

• Whether all questions have been evaluated
• Whether marks have been awarded correctly
• Whether there are any totalling or mark-entry errors
• Whether the final total matches the published result

Step 3: Compare with the Official Marking Scheme 

Before applying for verification or re-evaluation, students should compare their evaluated answers with: 

• The official CBSE Question Paper, and 
• The corresponding marking scheme available on the CBSE website 

This helps identify actual problems in evaluation. 

Step 4: Decide the Appropriate Post-Result Service 

After reviewing the answer book, students can choose to apply for:

• Verification of Marks - to check for calculation, totalling, or mark-entry errors.
• Re-evaluation - if they believe marks have not been awarded correctly according to the marking scheme.
• Both, if required.

Students who appeared in both the Main and Second Board Examinations must choose only one answer book (Main or Second) for verification or re-evaluation.

Step 5: Submit the Online Application

While applying for re-evaluation, students must: 

• Select the complete question(s) they wish to be re-evaluate (not individual sub-parts)
• Clearly mention the reason for  requesting re-evaluation 

CBSE will not  accept requests for re-evaluation of only a part of a question. 

Step 6: Track the Application Status 

The status and the final result of the application will be uploaded to the candidate's login portal. Students should regularly check the CBSE portal for the update. 

Step 7: Final Result After Review 

After verification or re-evaluation 

• Marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.
• Any change in marks, even a decrease of one mark, will be implemented.
• If marks are revised, CBSE will issue a new Mark Statement-cum-Certificate after the existing one is surrendered.
• The decision of CBSE will be final and binding, and no further appeal or review will be entertained.

Availability of the CBSE Class 10 Second Board Exam Result

As per the official circular, for the students who appeared for Class 10 Second Board Exam can check their result from: 

• DigiLocker Results Portal 
• School-wise result will be shared with schools via their registered email address
• CBSE-affiliated schools abroad can also access their results and digital academic documents through DigiLocker.
• Schools can access and download students' digital academic documents from the CBSE repository using their existing login credentials. 

Class 10 2nd Board Exam Marksheet & Post-result Services 

After releasing the result, CBSE has also shared details regarding distribution of the marksheet, and availability of post-result services. 

Marksheet Distribution 

• Regular students, including those studying in CBSE-affiliated schools abroad, will receive their printed Mark Sheet-cum-Passing Certificates through their respective schools.
• Private candidates will receive their digital academic documents via DigiLocker.
• Printed documents for private candidates will be delivered to their registered addresses.
• However, private candidates under the Delhi East and Delhi West Regional Offices must collect their printed documents from the examination centres where they appeared.

CBSE has informed the students that post-result services such as verification and other result-related processes will be conducted. The same will be informed through an official circular. 

Students are advised to wait for the official notification before applying for any post-result services. Also, students are asked to rely only on the official CBSE communication channel.
