Question:
How do auxins promote the growth of a tendril around a support?
Answer:
The tendrils are sensitive to touch. As the tendril comes in contact with a base, the auxin diffuses out and moves to that side. Due to this the cells elongate and the tendril is twisted and wrapped around the base.
