Question:

Have you noticed any activity which leads to the loss of biodiversity around you? Write a note on it and suggest some measures to prevent it.

Answer:

In our environment, trees are being cut fast for residential development, agriculture and development works, due to which along with the forests, the animals and birds dependent on them are getting destroyed. Biodiversity is being lost due to non-agricultural activities and rapid cutting of forests for fuel. To save biodiversity from being destroyed, it is very important to conserve trees and plants. It is not advisable to cut trees and plants for non-agricultural purposes such as settlement, manufacturing, etc., because it also kills animals and birds and also spoils the balance of the environment.
