Why do you push an object closer to scissors fulcrum when you want to cut an object which is hard? [Pg. No. 135]

Answer: Verified

When the object is placed closer to the fulcrum of the scissors, the effort arm becomes longer compared to the load arm. This increases the turning effect (mechanical advantage), so a greater cutting force acts on the object, making it easier to cut hard materials.
