If friction disappeared from the world, moving objects would not slow down or stop on their own. Once set in motion, they would continue moving with constant speed in a straight line unless acted upon by some other force. Walking, driving vehicles, writing, and holding objects would also become extremely difficult because these activities depend on friction.
