Question:

What are the standard widths for a room door? Look around your home and in school. [Page No. 5]

Answer: Verified

In India, interior room doors are usually about 3 feet wide (roughly 0.9 m, or 900 mm). Common door-frame widths you will find are about 2 ft 6 in (≈ 750 mm) for smaller doors such as bathrooms, and 3 ft (≈ 900 mm) for main room doors. Main entrance doors are often a little wider still, about 3 ft 6 in (≈ 1050 mm). How to check it yourself: pick a door at home or in school, hold a measuring tape across the opening (from the inside of one side of the frame to the inside of the other), and read the width.
