Question:

A toy car of mass 100 g is moving with a constant velocity of 0.5 m s⁻¹. What is the net force acting on the toy car? [Pg. No. 106]

Answer: Verified

Mass of toy car,

m=100 g=0.1 kgm = 100 \text{ g} = 0.1 \text{ kg}

Velocity is constant, so acceleration a=0a = 0.

Using Newton's second law:

F=maF = ma

F=0.1×0=0F = 0.1 \times 0 = 0

Therefore, the net force acting on the toy car is 0 N.
