Question:

Suppose the length of a rectangular box is 7 cm and breadth is 11 cm. Find the volume if the height is
 (A) 5 cm, (B) 9 cm, (C) 13 cm. Find the linear pattern representing the volume of the rectangular box.
[Page No. 24]

Answer: Verified

Given length = 7 cm, breadth = 11 cm

Volume = 7×11×h=77h7 \times 11 \times h = 77h

(A) h=5h = 5:

Volume = 77×5=385 cm377 \times 5 = 385 \text{ cm}^3

(B) h=9h = 9:

Volume = 77×9=693 cm377 \times 9 = 693 \text{ cm}^3

(C) h=13h = 13:

Volume = 77×13=1001 cm377 \times 13 = 1001 \text{ cm}^3

Linear pattern: V=77hV = 77h
