Question:

$O$ is any point on the diagonal $PR$ of a parallelogram $PQRS$ . Prove that the areas of triangles $\Delta PSO$ and $\Delta PQO$ are equal. [Page No. 142]

Answer: Verified

In parallelogram PQRS,
PS || QR
PQ || SR

Point O lies on diagonal PR.

Triangles $\Delta$ PSO and $\Delta$ PQO:

Have equal bases PS and PQ of the parallelogram,

And lie between the same parallels.

Hence their areas are equal.
