Question:

Find the values of the following polynomials at the indicated values of the variables.

(A) 5x2−3x+75x^2 - 3x + 7 if x=1x = 1

(B) 4t3−t2+64t^3 - t^2 + 6 if t=at = a

Answer: Verified

(A) 5x2−3x+75x^2 - 3x + 7 at x=1x = 1:
=5(1)2−3(1)+7= 5(1)^2 - 3(1) + 7
=5−3+7=9= 5 - 3 + 7 = 9
(B) 4t3−t2+64t^3 - t^2 + 6 at t=at = a:
=4a3−a2+6= 4a^3 - a^2 + 6
