No, atoms are not the smallest indivisible particles according to modern science.

Earlier, Dalton's atomic theory considered atoms to be indivisible, but later discoveries showed that atoms are made up of smaller subatomic particles such as electrons, protons and neutrons. Therefore, atoms can be divided into smaller particles. However, an atom is still considered the smallest unit of an element that retains the chemical properties of that element.
